The purpose of this playbook is to equip leaders with the skills to build clarity, alignment, and results through their organisation’s employee experience. 

Leaders will be equipped to diagnose the employee experience and identify growth opportunities in their people and culture.

Most importantly leaders will learn how to design and plan their employee journey.

This playbook addresses Question 6 from the 7 Questions on the Waymaker’s Leadership Curve.

Q6: What is our employee’s experience, how do we acquire, retain, and grow talent through our principles and what improvements need to be made?

This playbook will enable leaders to go deeper and build great clarity, alignment, and results for their organisation.

Learning outcomes

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  1. Define Employee Experience (EX): Understand the concept of EX and its significance in the modern workplace.
  2. Understand the Employee Journey: Grasp the nuances of the employee journey from pre-employment to exit, and the importance of each phase including acquisition, retention, and growth.
  3. Establish a Strong Foundation: Recognize the role of values, principles, and behaviors in shaping a positive employee experience.
  4. Design a Positive Culture: Identify gaps in the current organizational culture and strategize on bridging them to create an ideal work environment.
  5. Optimize Onboarding: Understand the criticality of the initial days of an employee and design strategies to ensure effective onboarding.
  6. Craft an Employee Promise: Learn how to frame a compelling EX promise to attract and retain the best talent.
  7. Navigate the Modern Workforce: Understand the dynamics of today’s diverse workforce, including full-time, part-time, remote, and gig workers, and design experiences catering to their unique needs.
  8. Differentiate between HR and EX: Recognize the evolution from traditional Human Resources to the modern concept of Employee Experience.
  9. Leverage Technology: Understand the role of technology in enhancing the employee experience, especially in the context of remote work and digital transformation.
  10. Measure and Improve: Equip yourself with tools and metrics to continuously assess and enhance the employee experience in your organization.

By the end of this course, participants will be well-equipped to design, implement, and optimize strategies that foster a positive and productive work environment, ensuring their organization’s success in the modern marketplace.
